Around the World to find the Santa Ynez Valley

Thirty years after trying to save the Yanomami Indians from complete Genocide, and realizing you can’t save anyone else until you save yourself, I am saved, safely in the Santa Ynez Valley.  In fact, my reputation is generating sales and I am having my best years ever.  My friend still lived in Venezuela until the end of 2019 when the political situation has fallen to Cuban communism and the goods and services are no longer provided.  She and her husband could no longer survive and had to flee.  But, before she had to leave I was able to send her money and she was able to get that money to the Indians who built a hospital on the Orinoco River with it. They named the hospital Jeanne Marie Hospital and the first baby to be born there was named Marie Jeanne after my friend and me.  Now, they have a place to gather and to share information.  Hopefully they will be able to secure their position as the guardians of the jungle that they are by nature. it is sad I can no longer contribute to the costs of the oxygen, generator parts and fuel that they need ongoing.  If they need money desperately all they have to do is go into the “dead zones” where the mercury from the first stage goldmines will sit forever dead and pick the gold up out of it.  The only problem is they get terribly sick when they do.  Those “Mercurial dead zones are creating bacteria and diseases like they have never seen before.

He jumps into my arms chanting “Let me love you”

With no word for “Hello” What else should he do?

He is strong, but so small, respectful too.

He checks under my clothes to see what is there,

He does it all with such an innocent flair,

I ask myself, “Why should I care?”

To fend him off, I invite him to dance.

Now we fall deeply into to r0mance

We are both so excited to have this chance.

We are both so moved to learn to play.

This dance of friendship discovered this day,

A feeling between us we can not say.

He has to go, I wave to him.  Signaling from my heart out from within.

He shows me back it has happened to him.

He leaves with anew way of saying “goodbye”.

I am left wondering about the reasons, “WHY”.

How can these people be so superior in the way of there beings, yet so inferior in their image to the world.

HE JUMPS INTO MY ARMS CHANTING “LET ME LOVE YOU”

WITH NO WORDS FOR “HELLO” WHAT ELSE SHOULD HE DO?

HE CHECKS UNDER MY CLOTHES TO SEE WHAT IS THERE

HE DOES IT ALL WHITH SUCH AN INNOCENT FLAIR

I ASK MYSELF “WHY SHOULD I CARE??

TO FEND HIM OFF I INVITE HIM TO DANCE.

NOW  WE FALL DEEPLY INTO ROMANCE

We are both so moved to learn to play.

This dance of friendship discovered this day,

A feeling between us we can not say.

He has to go, I wave to him.  Signaling from my heart out from within.
