To create the perfect existence for horses the first thing to remember is that they are one of the only animals where being together is more important than food. The most important thing to them is who is who in the pecking order and how to manage their position comfortably. Repositioning takes place when introducing a new member to the herd or when an old member decides to move forward with maturity or back with age. It is usually violent leaving kicks and bites, but not life threatening or too terribly injurious.
